Sasha Lenninger
Reporter/Anchor"If I can make a positive impact in someone’s life, then I’ve done my job.”
Sasha Lenninger comes to Albuquerque from WFXL-TV in Albany, GA, where she anchored and produced the weekend news.
“I love to experience new places and this is a place I’ve never explored”, she says.
“The culture here is amazing and the amount of outdoor activities is almost limitless.”
Sasha attended Arizona State University where she earned a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism in 2013. She minored in Communications.
While at ASU she interned at KPNX-TV in Phoenix, AZ; assisting reporters, working with producers and scheduling guests.
From there, Lenninger traveled more than 1800 miles to work as a morning reporter and producer at the Albany TV station. She soon became co-host of the show before being promoted to weekend anchor and producer.
Sasha’s move to Albuquerque brings her closer to home.
“I’m from Los Angeles and a big family person. I have a sister with Downs Syndrome and the closer I am to her, the more time I get to spend with her and my family.”
She’s been involved with Special Olympics since high school, coaching basketball teams. But that’s not the only sports she’s involved with…Sasha has a third degree brown belt in karate.
