The City of Gallup has implemented an emergency water use restriction for the entire city. According to the City of Gallup, a 30" water main that serves Gallup has broken. Due to the break, city officials are asking everyone to conserve as much water as possible. The restriction is in effect until further notice. The city says the water use restriction imposes the following:Prohibits all irrigation at city facilitiesProhibits all irrigation and outdoor water useImposes a temporary moratorium on any or all new development, including lawn/garden installationsProhibits all washing of vehicles, trucks, trailers, boats, airplanes and other mobile equipment For any questions regarding the restriction, contact the City of Gallup at 505-863-1207.
