Your blood type is an important marker if you're injured and end up in the hospital. According to *** new study, the type of blood flowing through your veins could also predispose you to certain ailments specifically strokes. The meta analysis looked at 48 other genetic studies which included data from more than 600,000 individuals. Finding that those who had blood type *** most notably, those with subgroup *** one were more likely to have *** stroke before the age of 60 than other blood types. Those with blood type *** had *** 16% higher chance of stroke before reaching the age. But researchers say you shouldn't be alarmed by these results even if you happen to have blood type ***. They say they can't say exactly why they found higher stroke numbers amongst that blood type, but add it likely has something to do with blood clotting factors like platelets and cells that line the blood vessels as well as other circulating proteins, all of which play *** role in the development of blood clots. Conversely, the study also found that those with blood type O, specifically subgroup 01 had *** 12% lower risk of stroke than most other blood types.
