YOU CAN SEE THERE’S THE PSA BLOCKING TRAFFIC SO NO ONE CAN GET THROUGH THAT OTHER SIDE. AND THEN FURTHER DOWN, YOU CAN SEE A FEW OF THOSE POLICE LIGHTS. NOW, I DID TALK TO ONE NEIGHBOR WHO TOLD ME HE GOT HOME AROUND 11:00 THIS MORNING AND THAT’S WHEN HE SAW EVERYTHING GOING ON. AROUND 2:00 IS WHEN HE SAID HE ACTUALLY SAW THE CRISIS NEGOTIATION TEAM SHOW UP. NOW, HERE IS SOME VIDEO THAT WE GOT FROM SKY 7 SHOWING THE SCENE. WE HAVE SEEN A COUPLE MORE UNITS ARRIVED TO THE SCENE AS WE’VE BEEN HERE. ACCORDING TO POLICE, THEY ARE TRYING TO ARREST THAT SUSPECT WITH THE FELONY WARRANT. Albuquerque SWAT used to arrest murder suspect; escaped police perimeter
Albuquerque police have activated SWAT to take a felony warrant suspect into custody. The scene is off Interstate 40 near Carnuel, east of Albuquerque. Albuquerque police officers located the suspect after 2 p.m. on Coyote Springs Road in Carnuel. The person refused to exit the residence, and Albuquerque SWAT was activated to assist in setting up a perimeter.The suspect, identified as 42-year-old Isaich Lujan, was able to escape the police perimeter. Lujan has a felony arrest warrant for an open count of murder, along with tampering with evidence.Crime tape around the area was used to divert traffic. Roads in the vicinity were shut down during the standoff, according to the Albuquerque Police Department.
