DUKE CITY CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING WILL BRING A FAMILY FRIENDLY ACTION PACKED SHOW TO THE HISTORIC EL REY THEATER TOMORROW NIGHT. NOW, THIS EVENT WILL BE HEADLINED BY FIVE BY EIGHT MATCHES FEATURING 16 WRESTLERS, 12 OF THEM ALBUQUERQUE PRODUCTS AND IT SHOULD BE A PACKED HOUSE AS MORE THAN 200 TICKETS HAVE ALREADY BEEN SOLD. FRED SLOW SAYS THE RETURN OF WRESTLING TO THE DUKE CITY IS A TREAT FOR FANS, BOTH NEW AND OLD FOR A LONG TIME. After a five year hiatus, professional wrestling will officially return to Albuquerque.Duke City Championship Wrestling will bring a family-friendly, action-packed show to the historic El Rey Theater on Thursday night.The event will be headlined by eight matches featuring 16 wrestlers, 12 of which are Albuquerque products.It's sure to be a packed house as more than 200 tickets have already been sold. Promoter Fred Slow says the return of wrestling to the Duke City is a treat for fans - both new and old."For a long time fan, they're going to be experiencing a new twist," Slow said. "Everyone in our ownership group is Albuquerque-based, so we're creating a product for Albuquerque which we think is really going to relate. First time fans? Prepared to be blown away. You're going to hopefully find the same love that you found the first time you went to the theater or maybe the first time you went to a concert - it's an energy that's unmatched."Duke City Championship Wrestling is set to host an event every third Thursday for the next year.
