The male suspect, identified as 77-year-old John Eames, was armed when police ordered him to put the firearm down, according to SFPD. No police officers were injured in the shooting. Aid was rendered to Eames on the scene before he was taken to a local hospital, where he died weeks later. Police are asking people to avoid the 100 block of Calle Ojo Feliz, where the shooting happened.Eames remained in the local hospital until June 6, when he died. He was charged with five counts of aggravated assault on a peace officer and a count of negligent use of a deadly weapon.
