YOU SO THOUGH ITS MAKEUP RESEMBLES MOST NUTS, THESE ARE GROWN IN THE GROUND, NOT ON A TREE. FROM THERE, THEY COME HERE. HAMPTON FARMS PROCESSING CENTER IN PORTALES, WHERE THEY ROAST SALT SEASONAL AFTER COPING IT, OUR ROASTED PRODUCT HAS INCREASED TREMENDOUSLY THE MACHINES AND WORKERS HAVE TO MOVE FAST. THE FIRST PEANUTS IN THIS REGION WERE HARVESTED IN 1914. IT’S NOW A MULTIMILLION DOLLAR INDUSTRY HERE IN THE LATE SIXTIES, FARMERS SWITCHED TO A NEW VARIETY. THE VALENCIA PEANUT, WHICH WHAT PORTALES IS KNOWN FOR. THEY ARE A SWEETER TASTING PEANUT. AND THERE’S USUALLY THREE KERNELS TO SHOW AND THEY HAVE A RED SKIN TO IT.
